Hospitality Confidential is excited to present this Opening General Manager position for a new modern, corporate, and chef-driven concept in Austin, TX! This restaurant group prides itself on having a culture defined by a team-player mentality where everyone's voice can be heard. They are looking for an Opening General Manager who can grow their new restaurant and lead from the floor with a hands-on management style and guest-facing mentality. This role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious manager who wants to introduce a fantastic concept to the Austin community through various marketing and community outreach initiatives. This is the first time this concept has come to Austin and there is plenty of room for expansion and growth for the team and managers who lead the way!
Job Responsibilities:
• Create a comprehensive business plan for the restaurant
• Prepare an accurate portrayal of the finances of the restaurant
• Develop strategies to entice customers, including marketing plans, advertising campaigns,
community outreach programs and research
• Analyze the restaurant budget with personnel to find and price inventory, reduce expenses,
review current pricing, and adjust purchasing strategies if needed
• Control operations by developing effective policies and creating high standards
• Ensure an outstanding dining experience for all guests
• Supervise a team of employees, and create a cohesive unit of people who effectively
communicate, and create a hiring process for key staff
• Follow all appropriate health codes and local jurisdiction food handling requirements
• Create a professional atmosphere that sustains top employee safety standards
• Look for new and innovative solutions to problems in the restaurant industry
• Lead the restaurant to achieve new and greater goals
Qualifications:
• A minimum of 5 years experience in restaurant management positions
• Management experience in high-volume restaurants of $6+ million in annual sales.
• Opening restaurant experience and knowledge of critical path preferred
• Experience in resolving customer issues/complaints as well as overall excellent customer
service required
• Leads from the floor with a hands-on management style
• Solid time management, organization, and prioritization skills
• Proven ability to effectively build and foster a team environment
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and non-verbally with others
• Ability to work with all personality types even in adverse situations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and recommend/implement effective solutions
• Demonstrated commitment to customer service
• Excellent problem-solving/decision-making skills
Compensation & Benefits:
• 100k - 125k Base Salary (depending on experience)
