To meet our needs, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Open Source Pratitioner with a TS/SCI clearance. The position entails the following duties and roles:

Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct collection and exploitation of Publicly Available Information (PAI) via use of OSINT tools
  • Contribute to conducting exploitation of social media and public accessible databases
  • Contribute to gathering, synthesizing, and analyzing open-source intelligence information in support of objectives related to force protection, counterterrorism, counternarcotics, and other areas of the Army mission
  • Contribute to coordinate and collaborating with other intelligence disciplines to produce finished intelligence products, including threat assessments
  • Contribute to assessing emerging OSINT methodologies and tools
  • Respond to Requests for Information
  • Provide support to operational planning, technical papers, and other tasks as directed
  • Shift work schedule

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) OSINT tools which include but are not limited to the Berber Hunter Tool Kit applications (e.g., SILO, SCRAAWL, Data Miner, and Babel).
  • Demonstrated experience in a field related to OSINT research, collection management, or analysis or the exploitation of PAI or social media.
  • Documentation —Ability to draft requirements documents, correspondence, and procedures in accordance with policies.
  • Procedures and Processes — Ability to provide explanations of complex technical procedures and processes clearly and accurately to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Government OSINT Training courses (e.g., OS301/OS302, CASO, defense or IC equivalent (DIA OS1, FBI OS101).
  • Experience conducting intelligence analytical support for the DoD.
  • Foreign language capabilities of 2+/2+ DLPT or better.
  • Experience with MS Office and SharePoint

Education:

  • Experience meeting one of the two (2) criteria:
    • 1yr w/ Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree
    • 3yrs w/ High School Degree

Security Clearance: Active Top Secret, (TS/SCI)

Work Environment

  • Work is typically performed in an office environment, requiring the use of computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives.
  • Shift-Work - Due to customer requirements, this position offers shifts of 0600 – 1400, 1400-2200, and 2200 – 0600, with a Sunday through Thursday shift or Tuesday through Saturday, which can be rotated every three months.
