Overview

Chroma Color is seeking to hire a Systems Administrator to support Chroma Colors end users, Servers, and networks. As a Chroma Color team member, you will perform a variety of system updates, computer roll outs, helpdesk tickets, end users support and data center projects. Your role will focus on daily tickets from end users with expansion into Server and Network projects. Chroma Color’s currently operates 6 facilities in 4 states with remote support to all facilities.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Manager of Infrastructure:

  • Deploy and administer Windows Server in physical or virtual (Hyper-V) environment.

  • Perform hardware installation and configuration as per defined process.

  • Layer 2 & Layer 3 Network administration (setting up VLAN and Routing).

  • Monitoring & remediating all aspects of cyber security.

  • Administer users, groups, and computers in Active Directory.

  • Monitor Windows desktop and laptop patching schedule, resolve issues with unpatched computers, and coordinate patch installation with other teams when necessary.

  • Maintain helpdesk support queue, prioritize support tickets, and resolve issues.

  • Monitor end point & server health using LogicMonitor dashboard as well as take appropriate steps to resolve issues.

  • Manage and roll out Desktop/Laptop equipment to end users as needed.

  • Must be able to lead complex project independently.

Desired Experience & Education and Physical Requirements

  • Key competencies:

working independently, customer centricity, collaboration, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), advanced critical thinking, problem solving skills, team leadership, ability to work independently and participation.

Must have strong attention to detail, good follow-up skills and time management abilities.

  • Education:

College Degree in and computer related discipline or 3 – 5 years hands on experience as a Systems Administrator

  • Ability to isolate and diagnose root causes of incidents

  • Elite analytic and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work successfully with an integrated support team

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server administration and installation.

  • Experience:

  • Proven experience with operating system life cycle and configuration management.

  • Experience with cyber security, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, and patching systems.

  • Experience with managing Hyper-V server environment

  • Ability to Configure and maintain Cisco Network Switches along with WatchGuard Firewalls

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • General Description Maintains and operates computer systems as well as networks. Installs, supports, and manages servers and resolves issues as needed.

  • Installs patches and performs system backups and recovery.

  • Monitors system configuration and maintains data files. Relies on limited knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals.

  • Works under general supervision and usually reports to a project leader or manager, though some ingenuity and flexibility is required.

  • Linux experience is a plus

  • Physical Demands:

While performing duties, the employee will generally sit at a desk but may be required to stand and walk.

Must be able to communicate extensively with customers by phone and email.
