Schedule: Monday - Friday 
Pay Rate: $20 - $24 hrly DOE

The Onsite Service Engineer is responsible for providing product support and technical know-how. Diagnoses and remedies faults, performs preventative maintenance, installs and commissions products. Completes all tasks with precision while ensuring safe practices are upheld.  

This role is located in Austin TX at a full production facility and is mainly maintenance focused on what is considered dirty scrubbers. We focus heavily on quality work, safety, and keeping production stoppages as minimal as possible. The role entails being in full gore tex suit for the majority of the shift in labor intensive work. Specific skills we are looking for onsite beyond the general job description are:

1. Electrical system troubleshooting experience
2. Water fitting connection experience

The principal duties and responsibilities will be:

• Utilizes electromechanical skills to provide excellent service to customers.
• Performs installation and troubleshooting on vacuum pumps, abatement, gas and chemical delivery systems to maintain and increase revenue for both service and sales divisions.
• Participates in site safety programs to create a zero-hazard environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand detailed electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Understands and adheres to all site fab and Subfab protocol requirements.
• Comprehends the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance; works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/ manager and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of technical related experience such as electronic, mechanical, chemical, gas, refrigeration or basic vacuum
• High School Diploma
• Associate’s degree, military or 2-3 years of equivalent experience may substitute for education requirement.
• Possess excellent customer interfacing and communication skills.
• Fluency in written and spoken English. Ability to speak distinctly and see/hear clearly.
• Able to read engineering drawings and electrical diagrams. Competent in the use of test equipment including various test meters, hand tools, and power tools. Possess basic computer skills which includes thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office.
