Our 10-week Americas Summer Internship Program offers students an immersive learning experience with hands on work in areas across the organization. Interning with PTC provides students with the opportunity to work on high-visibility and high impact projects.
Your Impact
Modeling interns are an important factor in accelerating customer focused enhancements. We have a pool of development stories for interns that can be completed during their tenure at Onshape.
Your Team
You will be part of the team building a highly complex and interactive professional application, using both websocket and REST calls and all the latest technologies, frameworks and engineering processes. You will work alongside with your mentors and other full-time employees on production functionalities and solving real user issues. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills and make UI/UX decisions that will impact to millions of Onshape users.
Your Day-to-Day
- Work with UX to understand feature specification
- Implement and iterate in modeling features in part studio, assembly and graphics area
- Write automated test for modeling features
- Fix bugs in their features and related product areas
Basic Qualifications
- Enrolled in a degree program in one of the following or related fields: Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
- Good problem solving and communication skills
- Experience with UI Frameworks (e.g., Angular) or graphics APIs (e.g., WebGL)
- Comfortable working in a large code base
