Part-time (adjunct)

Candidates must be student-centered, have flexible schedules available to mentor students through online learning platforms, webinars, and conference calls.

Documented expertise and passion in the following areas of Nursing are currently needed for position consideration: Nursing History, Advanced Pathology, Statistics, Informatics, Public Health, Transcultural Nursing, Complex Care, End-of-Life, Leadership, Nursing Education, and Research & Evidenced-based Practice

Position Details:

· Implements the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through online teaching and service to the College

· Provide quality instruction in an online setting while promoting critical thinking.

· Ability to engage students while maintaining decorum in the online classroom.

· Develop approved course syllabi, and daily lesson plans to meet course objectives and system evaluation process.

· Assist with coordination of department activities and projects.

· Provide positive and professional guidance to students.

· Evaluates and provides documented feedback to student on level of performance based on course objectives.

· Is available for remediation of students as required or needed.

· Maintain student records of attendance and progress of students.

· Provide input into curriculum development, instructional methods, objectives, and philosophy.

· Attend faculty meetings, professional development activities, and ongoing instructional meetings as required.

Qualifications:

• MSN required
• An unencumbered professional nurse license in Missouri or NLC Compact State
• Minimum three years nursing leadership experience
• Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Past teaching experience required. Online teaching experience preferred.
• Engaging oral and written communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively and work collaboratively with a virtual team
