Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Our Oncology Unit offers a warm caring and supportive environment for our Oncology and medical patients. Our nurses along with a multidisciplinary team help patients make difficult choices more manageable by ensuring that their choice of treatment comes from honest informed consent. Through their role as a patient advocate our nurses build a special bond with patients from the beginning of a new diagnosis and through the process of treatment. This rapport ensures that our patients develop successful coping mechanisms knowledge of appropriate symptom management and long term adjustment for the best quality of life and outcome.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 1 year Registered Nurse in an acute care Telemetry Unit.
- Current BLS certification through the AHA
- Within six (6) months of hire candidates must also have successful completion of the following courses:
- Basic Cardiac Monitoring
- ACLS
- Successful completion of your chemotherapy/biotherapy administration certification within 18 months of hire.
- Other certifications may be required
