On-Site Av Service Technician

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will be dedicated to one of our key Enterprise customers. The primary responsibilities include, providing technical support for all media technologies within their multimedia lab, supporting any new technology upgrades and training end users on systems functionality. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support the system administration of IPTV solutions and other AV media components.
• Support the installation and configuration of technology components for the Multimedia lab.
• Work with product vendors to review basic functionality and to troubleshoot issues discovered in testing.
• Perform periodic software testing for Cisco and Microsoft releases.
• Assist with lab testing of emergency patches and updates.
• Maintain test plans and test result documentation.
• Maintain lab configuration documentation and inventory records.
• This position requires a minimum of 3 days a week in-person at our Houston Lab facility.

What You Bring to Assure Success:

• Previous experience in the service or installation of audio, video, and/or audiovisual, presentation systems and IT/Networks
• Experience with IPTV administration.
• Ability to work independently, be self-directed and make sound decisions based on customer satisfaction.
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills.
• Good ability to diagnose and troubleshoot any technical issues as they arise. 
• InfoComm CTS Certification preferred, but not required with the right experience. Any other industry related certifications or training is also a plus. (Ex: Crestron, BIAMP, Extron, QSC, Microsoft TEAMs, Shure etc.)
