Scope of Position
This position is focused on a specific geography and customer base for the HORECA sector (Hotels-Restaurants-Cafes). The focus is growing our sales in the respective area by executing in the following areas: account acquisition, account maintenance, mitigating attrition, and relationship development. In addition, the position must perform routine quality assurance checks at key accounts, perform account staff training, conduct product demonstrations, manage potential customer pipelines (including monthly reporting), comply with routine administrative requirements on an accurate and timely basis, and conduct distributor team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Acquisition of accounts:Maintain a pipeline of prospective customers for HORECA . Visit all accounts of HORECA independently and/or with distributor reps, branch Sales Managers, or quality/technical managers. Present the brand story and perform tastings with decision-makers for all new leads. Follow up on all On-Premise proposals. Work effectively with distributor teams to develop target lists and secure needed account appointments.
- Maintenance of existing accounts: Align with the Branch manager on the frequency of maintenance calls for existing customers. Perform training programs: Work with the Distributor and sales staff to train staff at existing accounts to enhance knowledge of the use of equipment to increase sales performance and coffee quality.
- Train Distributors: Organize and provide information and tools to sales teams to assist in selling their portfolio of products. For example, price lists, product description sheets, sales slicks, new product information, and training materials.
Qualifications
- Sales Knowledge: 5 years experience in food and beverage sales in the On-Premise channel.
- This candidate will have good communication and leadership skills, written/verbal, strong presentation, and sales skills.
- Work independently without direct supervision to manage your area of responsibility and achieve your company goals.
- Work collaboratively with the distributor sales force, our Quality technical team, and the Regional sales team.
- Product Knowledge: Needs to develop expertise in all the products and equipment offerings. They must be able to distinguish the competitive advantages of their product offerings from those of the competition.
