Sheraton BWI is looking for new staff to be enthusiastic about serving our guests and visitors.
The Banquet Server is responsible to serve food and beverages to guests in a timely, courteous, efficient and accurate manner. All functions are carried out to maintain an environment of teamwork and first-class customer service.
The Banquet Server receives guests, takes guest orders, and processes those orders in a timely manner and with a professional demeanor. The ideal Banquet Server candidate has a warm and friendly personality that puts our customers at ease and sets expectations of dining excellence.
For the Banquet Server position, a minimum of one-year experience is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets all customers in a warm, sincere, and helpful manner
- Takes orders and serves meals and beverages promptly and courteously
- Operates the complete POS system and other required software
- Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
- Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices
- Helps bus and set tables and performs side-work as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- One year of relevant experience
- Point-of-sale (cash register) and credit or debit card processing skills
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
- Must have experience serving trays
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
