We are currently looking for an intern to join our team in our Redmond, WA office. This program will run from May 20 - August 2, 2024. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week, at a payrate of $26.75/hr.

Regulatory Affairs is a function involved in the development and submission of applications to obtain marketing approval of medical devices in various countries and geographies. Regulatory Affairs plays a critical role in the medical device industry by ensuring compliance with regulations and standards to ensure patient safety and product quality. As a Regulatory Affairs intern, you will contribute to our mission by working with the teams responsible for ensuring the integrity of our products.
Job Duties
Some potential projects for this summer could include:
  • Review, organization, and filing of supporting historical regulatory documentation to ensure ease of accessibility.
  • Data management that includes reading, researching, and assessing Regulatory Affairs records and project files.
  • Assisting the team with regulatory procedures.
  • Contributing to the atmosphere of continuous improvement.

A typical day for you will include:
  • Collaborating with your supervisor and team to complete role-related assignments and projects.
  • Actively engaging in and adding value to meetings and discussions.
  • Engaging in other duties, as necessary.

Job Qualifications
Required:
  • Must be enrolled in a full time undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited 4-year institution.
  • Must complete sophomore year before the internship begins and graduate after the internship ends.
  • Preferred fields of study include sciences, biomedical engineering, pre-law or law, Regulatory Affairs, or related life science disciplines.
  • Must not now or in the future require immigration-related sponsorship.**

Required Skills:
  • Basic analytical knowledge
  • Must demonstrate a high level of attention to documentation detail.
  • Must have an interest and curiosity for medical device Regulatory Affairs and the processes to obtain marketing approval for medical devices worldwide.
  • Must demonstrate meticulous organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient and have practical knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to work well within a team and independently at times with limited guidance.

Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Agile Documentation Control.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong, professional communication skills..
  • General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.

The anticipated starting base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is , plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements). Olympus considers a variety of factors when determining actual compensation for this position including: level of experience, working location, and relevant education and certifications.
