Job Summary
Part of a larger team delivering high quality technology solutions to the business. Design, develop and install software solutions. Build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with internal architecture, development & design standards & best practices. Design, modify, develop, write, implement and troubleshoot software programming applications. Support and/or install software applications. Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and certification of software. Works within a Waterfall or Agile methodology/framework based team. Collaborates heavily with Project Management, Business Analyst and Infrastructure Job Families.
Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
Responsibilities include one or more of the following for medium to large projects:
  • Administrate Okta solution, including, but not limited to, scripting and automation solutions related to Okta.
  • Exhibit understanding of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Iterative Waterfall methodologies.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand requirements for implementing connections through legacy and new SSO & MFA solutions.
  • Conduct regular or emergency maintenance and software upgrades as required.
  • Prepare documentation for training and audit, and act as primary contact and subject matter expert of federation and Single Sign on.
  • Develop advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues in a logical, creative and structured manner.
  • Align the client's goals, needs and objectives to the solutions. Communicate issues and status in a clear, timely manner. Interpret specifications and build solutions to those specifications. Generate infrastructure support documentation. Evaluate and propose process improvements.
  • Build and maintain a high level of knowledge about the company's software/hardware products.
  • May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Minimum Requirements:
Solution Engineer Senior (SG7):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 5 years of relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Solution Engineer Principal (SG8):
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 7 years relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
Preferred Requirements:
  • 2+ years administering IAM toolset Okta including Okta REST APIs and Workflows
  • 2+ years configuring and administering Okta Lifecycle Management Connectors
  • 3+ years' experience scripting and automating solutions
  • Experience with most common Okta connectors including Active Directory (AD), Azure AD, JDBC, exchange, mainframe, web service, and authoritative sources integration (such as Workday).
  • Strong understanding of social/SSO/federated authentication methods (SAML, OIDC, OAuth) and related components.
  • Customer Identity and Access Management Experience in at least one: Okta, Auth0, Sailpoint, Microsoft, IBM, CA Siteminder, One Login
  • Access control and directory Experiences: LDAP and AD
  • SIEM Integration with IAM platform
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting access and integrations in IAM platform.
  • 3+ years experience with Powershell and/or Shell scripting
  • 3+ years experience with C# and/or Java
  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies.
  • Strong functional knowledge of MS Office Suite software products, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Must possess a strong ability to document standards, methods and produce architectural drawings.
  • Be available on an on-call basis to respond to pending issues or problems arising during non-business hours and provide support and response.
  • Experience with Python, PUI, and JavaScript
  • Okta Certified Administrator, Certified Consultant or Certified Developer certification
  • Specific experience with NIST, PCI, ISO 27001, COBIT or other information security related framework.
  • CISSP, CISM, SANS GSEC, Cloud Security (CCSP, CCSK), or other information security related certification(s).

Solution Engineer Sr (SG7): $83,413-$104,268
Solution Engineer Prin (SG8): $94,225- $122,491

Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate's ability to work from an approved work location.
