Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-job inspections of deck and equipment to ensure safety
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, cranes, and other machinery
• Supervise the process of drafting barges
• Lead and assist the deck crew during transloading operations
• Operate winches and maintain lubrication schedule and records
• Uphold proper housekeeping standards and clean excess oil/grease from equipment and work area
• Report all incidents through the company’s reporting protocol
• Complete daily inspection reports and forward to maintenance personnel as required
• Support company safety initiatives and demonstrate knowledge of all required competencies

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English with basic math and computer skills
• Leadership skills
• Ability to follow directions and work rotational shift work
• Experience in lubricating, performing routine maintenance/ minor repairs, and operating assigned equipment
• Physical fitness to perform all essential physical demands of this job safely
• Team player with a commitment to customer service
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and comply with all operational directives and company policies
