Country Roads Minerals, LLC is an Oil and Gas mineral buying company whose founders were the principals behind Trans Energy, Inc., the largest natural gas company headquartered in West Virginia before its sale in 2016. Country Roads Minerals has a 5-year-old “startup” culture that purchases Oil and Gas mineral rights in West Virginia. We're bringing Oil and Gas mineral buying into the 21st century.
Country Roads Minerals is dual headquartered in Williamstown and Morgantown, West Virginia. We are rapidly scaling our business - and our team!

We do things the old-fashioned way. We come to the office, roll up our sleeves and run title in some of the hardest counties in West Virginia. If you don’t know what this means, we may not be a good fit.

What You Will Do
As a Title Abstractor, you will work with our title team to produce title reports that determine the Oil and Gas mineral owners of selected properties and ensure the quality of the final product prior to delivery to our Oil and Gas mineral buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine, analyze, and evaluate documentation such as deeds, chancery proceedings, and plats/maps and other records to determine Oil and Gas mineral ownership.
- Analyze and understand chain of title, and defects in the chain of title, and prepare reports outlining title-related matters.
- Strong attention to detail as you read and extract information from the documents, then enter that information into a report or software.
- Clear and concise writing skills with the ability to translate complicated title situations into simple-to-understand explanations.
What You Bring
- 2+ years as an Oil and Gas Title Abstractor at an advanced level is required including online search experience.
- Familiarity with select counties in West Virginia.
- Attention to detail resulting in accurate, clear, and professionally formatted title reports.
- Advanced proficiency in various MS Office tools such as Excel.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
