Ohio Licensed Fire Extinguisher/Pre-Engineered Suppression Technician

The desired technician is responsible for performing scheduled and emergency maintenance on fire extinguishers and hood suppression systems in industrial and commercial settings. The applicant should be self-motivated and customer service oriented.

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:
•
Perform all manner of inspections, service, and maintenance on various sized fire extinguishers, and pre-engineered systems, such as kitchen and industrial systems.
•
Respond to trouble calls.
•
Make recommendations for compliance/upgrades as necessary and communicate with Service Coordinator to manage inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.
•
Complete electronic and/or handwritten inspection reports.
•
Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks, immediately following completion.
•
Ability to work independently, operating with minimal supervision, while performing fire protection inspections.
•
Represent the company in a professional, positive manner and provide a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication.
•
Manage inventory and tools on vehicles and in shop to assure proper parts and tools are readily accessible.

Job Qualifications/Preferences:
•
Free of any Non-Compete Obligations.
•
High School Diploma or equivalent.
•
Two (2) years of experience in the fire protection industry.
•
Possess Ohio State Fire Marshal License for Portable Fire Extinguishers and
Pre-Engineered Systems.
•
Possess an understanding of NFPA, Building and Fire Codes.
•
Possess and maintain a Valid Driver’s License with a Safe and Good Driving Record.
•
Willing to take and able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen.
•
Willing to have a Background Screen.
•
Proficiency with Laptop Computers and Microsoft Office.
