Fitter / Fabricator $24.00 +
Commercial Employees is hiring an experienced Fitter / Fabricator for the Struthers area, with a starting wage range of $24.00 per hour. You’ll work with a global leader in the design and manufacture of equipment and components that support several worldwide industries, including metals, power, petrochem, and pulp/paper. This full-time contract to hire position is for 1st & 2nd shift and provides a flexible work schedule.

Our Fitter / Fabricator Role:
- Welder/ Fabricator who will be responsible for the proper, productive and safe fitting of various components with select welding processes and procedures.
- someone with strong fitting and layout skills that has the ability to transfer a blue print to a full size layout on the floor or table.
- Fabricating – Analyze blueprints, layout, position and secure parts and assemblies by tacking or welding using fixtures and proper procedures. You will heat, form and dress metal parts in the fabrication process.
- Material Handling – Knowledge and safe use of overhead cranes, hoist and forklifts.
- Properly maintain all work equipment while maintaining a clean and organized work area
Requirements for our Fitter / Fabricator Position
- Should have a basic welding aptitude and 2 years related work experience using AWS practices and or ASME code welding is preferred.
- Basic blue print reading skills and weld procedure interpretation
- Shifts may require walking or standing for up to 10 hours at a time
- Must be able to operate machinery and be able to operate foot controls on equipment
- Must be able to pass both a drug screening and background verification
- Must have reliable transportation
