Offshore Inspection Engineers/ROV Operators will typically be a degreed engineer position - though this is not essential. Prior ROV experience is NOT required - we will teach you that part. These positions require a combination of office and offshore field work, with a heavy emphasis on "field". Candidates will be assessed based on education and experience. We are looking for road-warrior self-starters with a passion for learning and a drive to get the work done in remote locations. Previous offshore and/or onshore O&G experience is preferred - though also not essential.
In the office
- Develop new tooling for ROV Systems
- Maintain our fleet of underwater miniature Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs)
- Prepare Equipment & Teams for offshore deployments
- Participate in all company HSE procedures
- R&D of new ROV Platforms, new tools/integrations/applications, new business streams
- Campaign/Project Management
- Continuous improvement of all company processes
In the field
- Perform inspections of offshore, maritime, and other subsea assets using ROVs
- Hull, Structure and Ballast Tank inspections using Mini-ROV Systems
- Generate Inspection Reports and other Integrity Management deliverables
- Support ROV Supervisors with campaign activities
- Follow all Client and Company HSE Procedures
- Risk Management & HSE activities (Risk Assessments, JSA’s, Toolbox Talks, etc.)
- Produce detailed reports on the results of ROV inspections
- Extensive physical activities, handling ROVs & tether, equipment cases, climbing ladders & stairs
- Extensive Travel
Responsibilities/Duties:
Provide design, maintenance, integration, and inspection support to ROV Inspections Manager/Supervisors.
Must be willing to travel on a flexible basis for ROV Inspection Services
Extensive domestic and international travel, often with shifting itineraries.
As ROV Operator, learn Proceanic systems/processes and develop skills as ROV Inspection Engineer
As part of a Houston-based team of engineers and ROV Operators, anticipate a dynamic role, where activities will vary greatly from day to day. Expect up to 50% Overseas/Offshore Travel, often to remote oil & gas locations. Expect Helicopter and Boat mobilization to offshore facilities.

Offshore Inspection Engineer/ROV Operator - Reporting to ROV Supervisors, PM's and ROV Operations Manager.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Engineering Degree or similar (Preferred for Engineer/Operator but not essential)
- Prior Offshore Inspection or other offshore work desirable, other onshore work experience may be of value
- Robotics/Electronics experience desirable
- AutoCAD/3D Modeling capability desirable
- Basic Computer Coding desirable
- 1 – 5 Yrs industry relevant experience (>5 considered - but salary range targeted for junior personnel)
- Technical aptitude (past evidence of hands-on mechanical aptitude desirable)
- Be able to lift up to 70 lb equipment cases
- US Citizen/US Passport (Required)
- Complete fluency in Spoken and Written English (Including Technical Report Writing) required
- Clean/Valid US Driver’s License
- Must be a driven, self-starter, able to take direction, learn quickly and accept responsibilities
