Job Description
Main Function: Responsible for providing high quality nursing care to patients in a plastic surgery office and minor procedure setting including preparing for consultations and procedures, intake and EMR documentation, assisting the surgeon and caring for patients during the healing process.
Responsibilities
- Performs intake of patient information including history, symptoms, and medication
- Accurately enters documentation in patient's electronic medical record (EMR)
- Prepares for and assists surgeon in minor procedures
- Provides nursing care independently during recovery process such as dressing changes and suture removal
- Ensures exam rooms and procedure rooms have the necessary equipment and supplies
- Sterilizes instruments
- Completes disability and other clinically-related forms
- Ensures exam rooms and procedure rooms are adequately stocked
- Handles patient phone calls
- Other duties as required
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Firm understanding of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times

Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Georgia nursing license - RN or LPN
