Office Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and diligent custodian to join our team in Edmond, OK. As a Custodian, your primary responsibility will be to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our buildings, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants.

Monday through Friday

Essential Functions:

• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks, toilets, mirrors, empties trash, mops floors, and replenishes supplies.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen; cleans sinks, tables, counters, empties trashes, mops floors, and replenishes supplies.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops floors in front entrance, hallways, bathroom, breakroom, offices.
• Dust/clean cleared desks and surfaces of tables.
• Dusts woodwork throughout the building.
• Stocks cleaning supplies.
• Empties trash cans daily.
• Work is performed on a daily basis to include a lot of walking, bending, stooping and lifting 10-15 pounds.
• Must be able to complete all work on a daily basis.
• Refill all restroom dispensers as needed.
• Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities very helpful.
• Must have good listening and verbal communication skills. Some positions require the ability to speak/understand English.
• Must maintain a neat appearance.
• Must attend periodic training and safety meetings.
• Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the clients.
• Must be punctual.

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 6 months of experience in commercial facilities and buildings janitorial work desired.

Work Environment:

• Small-to-large office environment.
• Regularly exposed to dust, odors and cleaning products.
