Job description

JOANN Distribution & OMNI Fulfillment Centers utilize optimal processes and the latest technology to create a state-of-the-art inventory distribution system. Whether you operate material handling equipment to unload or replenish inventory, fulfill orders or prepare the orders for shipments, you will be an integral component of our business. SUMMARY
Supervise and coordinate the day to day functions within the Fulfillment Center of the inventory team for 1st shift and 2nd shift. Oversee Inventory Control procedures and audit adjustments that impact general ledger. Supervise the staffing coverage for selection areas. Enforce policies and procedures of JAS. Maintain personnel file with current information. Oversee all resolution processes for product that has already been received
JOB DUTIES

  • Audit adjustments daily, verify all adjustments of $500 tolerance level and inform finance daily, use reporting tools to complete audit(s) on type(s) of adjustments performed.
  • Monitor old articles & seasonal product to flow out of Fulfillment Center, communicate with Buyers to push out of FC. Meetings and training on new processes. Report daily mark out reports and mark out breakdown report to all Fulfillment Center management. Communicate company & department guidelines and ensure all associates are in compliance. Continually review and improve processes and work to ensure good communication flow between departments and team. Ensure that all areas and associates are working towards company productivity measurements.
  • Provide daily training and guidance on inventory control process, ensure training manual is current and updates with new processes. Provide guidance to QA/Facility Planning on store return process as well as receiving processes and procedures.
  • Coordinate with support and operation special projects, slot checks, and cycle counts. Track all special project adjustments and cycle count reports. Maintain spreadsheets on all inventory projects. Buck-slips from Accounts payable, provide research to settle vendor disputes for payment on Shipments, Support corporate requests and issues-cycle counts and handbills.
  • Provide guidance and directions for 2 inventory leads daily on work priorities and coach team in a positive manner. Make self available after hours for issues related to the cycle count program.
  • Maintain Fulfillment Center damage process and verify all articles being discarded, also ensure adherence to all FC damage procedures. Oversee the process for FC to DC transfers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to walk up to 10 hours a day on concrete floor
  • Ability to climb stairs in multi-story structures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
Education Preferred: Associate's degree in business or related field
Experience Minimum: 7+ years in distribution/logistical & inventory control and 5+ years of leadership experience.
Experience Preferred: With Associate's degree, minimum of 5 years in distribution/logistical/inventory control & leadership experience.
SKILLS / COMPETENCIES
  • Proficient in excel and knowledge of access, sap, cognos, warehouse management system EWM & EXE.
  • Ability to resolve conflict in a professional manner
  • Maintain an open door policy to ensure open communication between team members
  • Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to make decision in a timely manner, must possess the ability to details
  • Coach team in the importance of providing 100% job performance to JAS to provide 100% satisfaction to our stores.
  • Positive leadership skills
