SUMMARY
The Sales Associate is based in Alpine's Detroit, MI office and will support in sales on our General Motors OEM Accounts. Planning, executing, and monitoring activities and interfacing with the Customers, Alpine Germany, Alpine Japan, Alpine USA and other members of the company under the direction of the Sales Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Interfaces with customers via phone and email, visits customer for meetings, coordinates customer visits to Alpine and manufacturing sites when needed.
• Provides support for new product development through strong communication and working relationships with other departments.
• Creates sales budgets, sales forecasts, and sales results analysis.
• Creates internal/external meeting materials.
• Manages prices and costs in relevant systems.
- Manages obsolescence, tooling claims, and customer payments as needed.
• Coordinates and reports on development and tooling cost collection from customers.
• Manages and monitors Alpine information in customer systems.
• Ensures timely responses to requests and open items from customers and coordinates quick and effective action on quality issues.
- Other duties that may be assigned.
- This position will drive for company business.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Any other support as required or assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE [Refer to Lines of Progression (LOP)]
A Bachelor's Degree in business or Engineering and/or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 5 years of industry related experience performing related duties. Knowledge or experience of sales to OEM customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and/or ABILITY
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Business level communication in English. Spanish is a Plus
• Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Capable of completing administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• The ability to interpret, collect and research data and use analytical abilities, intuition and experience to make suggestions to process and plan needs.
• The ability to follow corporate policies and procedures and support the organization's goals and values is key.
• Adaptable to changes within the work environment.
• Dependability, by taking responsibility for assignments, and the ability to commit to additional hours of work when necessary is highly valued.
- A valid U.S. driver's license and auto insurance are required during employment in this position.
