Occupational Therapy Technician

Carnahan Therapy is a busy successful Physical & Occupational Therapy outpaient Clinic in Lompoc. We have been in business for over 28 years. We are currently looking for a Occupational Therapy Tech available to work full-time, Monday-Friday. This position offers benefits including health and dental insurance, paid time off, and a health club membership.

The ideal candidate for this position has past experience in a medical, chiropractic or therapy office; is reliable, dependable (doesn't call out very often), is prompt (arrives on time daily), is a team player, with excellent communication skills ; both on the phone and in person, has the ability to multitask while working in a fast-paced environment, and is polite, professional, patient and compassionate working with patients.

Duties include:

- Assist Occupational Therapists in providing patient care and treatment

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions- Escort patients to and from therapy sessions-
• Monitor patients during therapy sessions and report any changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist
• Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records, answering the phones
• Clean and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy (will learn on-the- job training)
• Familiarity with medical terminology (will learn on-the-job training)
• Strong patient care skills
• Ability to follow instructions, multi-task and work as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

This position will also cross-train with Physical Therapy so that you can assist Physical Therapy when needed.

Salary is dependent on experience.
