As a valued member of our Lincoln Academy team, you will play a vital role in providing Occupational Therapy services to students requiring specialized instruction. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Conducting thorough screenings, identifying needs, and assessing students for targeted interventions.
Delivering direct Occupational Therapy and motor services with a focus on individualized student support.
Under the guidance of the Director of Special Education, you will:
Collaborate within the 504 or Special Education team.
Engage in data reviews and conduct assessments to inform decision-making.
Prepare comprehensive reports and articulate information clearly during team discussions and IEP meetings.
Additional key responsibilities include:
Developing, implementing, and evaluating effective motor instructional interventions for students across various educational programs.
Identifying students' strengths and weaknesses, documenting present levels of academic and functional performance (PLAAFP), and aligning goals with Occupational Therapy and motor services for IEP development.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to optimize student support service schedules.
Providing effective training and ongoing monitoring for paraprofessionals in instructional activities and data collection to support student progress.
Collecting and maintaining accurate student progress data.
Actively participating in team and IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights to enhance student outcomes.
Engaging in school and district-based professional development activities to stay abreast of best practices and advancements in the field.
Education and Experience:
Master's in Occupational Therapist
Current Utah State Division of Professional License as an Occupational Therapist
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer/other equipment
Must be able to lift to 15-30 pounds at times
Pay: $38.41 - $65.50/HR depending on experience
