Fast-paced, high volume Acute Care Rehab department is looking for top skilled Occupational Therapist.  Is that you?

 

Work location: Texas Health Frisco 12400 N Dallas Parkway TX 75033 Work hours: PRN - As Needed; Day Shifts; Weekday and Weekend availability required - 8:00am - 5:00pm:

• 3 shifts per month with 1 being a weekend

Here's What You Need:

• Bachelor's Degree: Completion of Occupational Therapy program required
• No experience required
• 1 year of Acute Care Rehab experience preferred.
• NICU experience preferred. 
• OT - Occupational Therapist; Texas Occupational Therapy License upon hire required and 
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required

 What You Will Do: Essential Functions: Performs age-appropriate patient treatment:

• Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment.
• Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
• Performs/delegates technical procedures appropriately and safely.
• Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary.
• Determines patient response to treatment and evaluates progress (reassessment).
• Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.
• Maintains patient safety throughout treatment.
• Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues.
• Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs.
• Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy.
