Occupational Therapist (School) onsite, part-time, and fulltime available
Monday to Friday, 32 - 40 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist working onsite, you will play a crucial role in supporting students to achieve their academic, social, and emotional potential by addressing barriers related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals to address students' specific needs.
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in group settings and one-on-one sessions.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to implement strategies that support students in the classroom and school environment.
Offer guidance and training to educators and caregivers to reinforce therapeutic interventions and strategies.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of student progress and treatment plans.
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide insights and recommendations for student success.
Stay current with best practices and innovative techniques in occupational therapy within an educational setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE certified program in Washington.
State licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience or strong interest in working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques and tools to address fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, educators, parents, and other professionals.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving students' quality of life through occupational therapy.
Must be able to undergo a background check, fingerprints, Basic Life Support Certified, etc.
