*Position will primarily be Monday - Friday, with rotating weekends on occasion. 

*5 years Acute Occupational Therapy experience with leadership experience highly preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for the development of therapy services. He/She performs direct clinical therapy services in addition to facilitating positive clinical, regulatory and departmental functions. Serves as a direct liaison between front line clinical staff and department director. This position also serves as a point individual for key hospital committees and initiatives. Duties include (but are not limited to): assisting with daily staffing for the acute PT/OT department, ensuring departmental adherence to set productivity parameters, providing key input in strategic and operational planning and promoting staff consensus, actively participating in key initiatives including: patient experience, staff/leader rounding, orthopedics/spine/stroke and neuro programming. This individual is also closely involved with department director in regulatory compliance tasks, as well as helping to ensure ongoing staff competency requirements are met.

What qualifications you will need:
  • License or certification as required by discipline, and current CPR certification.
  • As required by clinical therapist (PT, OT, or SLP) job description.
  • 1-3 years clinical experience and 6 months experience in related management/leadership capacity preferred.
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Evaluation and treatment skills commensurate with formal education, in addition to the knowledge to identify, develop, implement and manage treatment programs and services. Ability to assess information, apply critical thinking processes, define expected outcomes and evaluate effectiveness of plan through continuous assessment. Knowledgeable in PI, scheduling, and regulatory requirements and standards, and assuring compliance and completion of competencies for all staff providing therapy services.

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Masters Degree
  • Licensed Physical Therapy, or Occupational Therapy (OT)
