Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)

Spindle Staffing is currently seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team and work with a school district in the Gages Lake area of Illinois. This is a part-time position for the extended school year, with sessions running from June 11th to July 11th.
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and treatment plans.
- Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Develop and implement therapeutic interventions to address students' goals and promote independence in educational and functional tasks.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' participation and success in the classroom and school environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Valid license to practice occupational therapy in Illinois.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
