Job Summary and Qualifications

Manage challenging recovery of complex hand and upper extremity injuries.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients; planning, implementing, and modifying treatment programs according to age appropriate needs. In addition to direct patient intervention, the Occupational Therapist is involved in the education of patient, family, caregivers and staff regarding the patient's functional level. The Occupational Therapist may participate in student education and other related duties as required or assigned by supervisor. The equipment used may include, but is not limited to: computer, paraffin bath, fluidotherapy, e-stim, splinting pan, heat gun, whirlpool. Will evaluate and treat injuries and conditions of the upper extremity (shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, and hand). Will use therapeutic intervention to help return functionality to highest level. 

**New graduates accepted. Acute rehab experience preferred. Must be able to perform all evaluations, assessment, and treatment planning. 

What qualifications you will need:

• National Certification by the NBCOT or predecessor
• Colorado OT license or Physical Therapy License 
• BLS certification through AHA or ARC required 
• Certified Hand Therapy required
• Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university
