Occupational Therapist - Acute Care

Acute Care Occupational Therapist Contract Details:
- Position: Occupational Therapist - OT
- $1,800 - $2,150 per week
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Hospital
- Days
- 8 hour shifts
- M-Th 7:30am 4:45pm and F 7:30am-12:00pm
- Caseload: 6 pts per day
- Number of beds: 70
- Dress code: Business casual, Scrubs are allowed, Scrubs must be solid in color.
- Provides inpatient occupational therapy to patients in a general acute care hospital
- Collaborates with Physical therapist, SLP, nurses, providers, and social workers regarding discharge plans for the patient.
- Will share acute rehab office with other therapists.
- Occupational Therapists will provide OT treatment and patient care according to facility guidelines
- Occupational Therapists will need to have effective communication skills for working with patients, their families, and other caregivers.
- Occupational Therapists may be asked to delegate and supervise occupational therapist assistants
- Travel pay packages and housing assistance are available for all travel OTs

- Current Occupational Therapy licensure in Virginia
- BLS
- 3 years of acute care experience
- Preferred exp: Cerner
- Ability to work with OT and OTA students is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and facility personnel
