Occupational Therapist

Nexus Therapy is now hiring an Occupational Therapist for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year! This position would be working 100% remotely with a great, supportive district in Missouri. It would be for 2 days per week with 8 billable hours per day worked and it pays $56 per hour! There are about 18 students on the caseload currently and it would be grades preK-12 with a variety of needs. Must be licensed as an OT in the state of Missouri.

Duties:
- Assess students' physical, mental, and emotional abilities to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment programs to help students improve their daily living skills
- Provide therapy sessions to students to improve their motor skills, coordination, and sensory integration
- Teach students how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their independence
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as educators, to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate students and their families on strategies for managing their conditions and maximizing their functional abilities

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Missouri license or certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and their families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
