Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to promote independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance the quality of life for individuals of all ages. You will evaluate patients' physical, psychological, and environmental needs to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at maximizing their potential and achieving optimal occupational performance.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform thorough assessments of patients to identify their functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver and monitor various therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' physical, cognitive, and psychosocial skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach in providing patient care
- Adapt and modify treatment plans as needed to address the changing needs and progress of patients
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on adaptive techniques, assistive devices, and strategies to maximize independence
- Maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, progress, and discharge summary reports
- Stay up-to-date with the latest occupational therapy techniques, research, and advancements in the field
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective treatment plans
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, psychology, and neuroscience related to human function
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team
- Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain a patient-centered approach
- Outstanding problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and assistive devices
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
