JR Enterprise is working collaboratively with the Department of Veterans affairs to provide support to the Tucson, AZ VAMC. We are currently seeking 2 Occupational Therapists and 2 Physical Therapists to join our team in support of the members supported by the VA. Our team is committed provided elite healthcare staffing support to Military and VA clinics throughout the United States.
Job description
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning, reviewing, and implementing treatment programs based upon initial and interim evaluations
- Communicate and collaborate with the patients, family members, caregivers, interdisciplinary professionals, and other internal/external stakeholders both orally and in writing
- Monitor patient’s response to interventions, modifies treatment plan, and reevaluates as indicated to meet short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide instruction and training to patient and/or caregiver on all equipment or assistive devices issued.
- Develop home programs for patients as needed prior to discharge and instructs patient, family, or caregivers in implementation of home program.
- Provide consultation, as needed, to peers and other staff responsible for the care of the assigned patient.
- Provides patient care which is appropriate to the cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of young adults (18- 45 years old), middle adults (45-65 years old) and older adults (65- older) patients. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Document initial findings, treatment goals, equipment recommendations, patient progress and discharge summaries timely and in accordance with established policies.
Qualifications:
- OT: Minimum of 2-year of experience & graduate from a ACOTE accredited program
- Current NBCOT Certification as an OT/PT
- PT: Minimum of 2-year of experience & graduate from a CAPTE accredited program
- Current BLS and or/CPR card.
- TB test
- Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 50-100 lbs.)
Work Hours:
Business hours are defined as Monday through Friday (7:30 am – 4:00 pm and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
