Job description

Identifies and manages the risks arising from chemical, biological, and physical agents and other workplace hazards. Performs quantitative and qualitative exposure risk assessments. Recommends engineering and administrative exposure controls, as well as, specialized personal protective equipment including chemical protective garments and respiratory protection. Evaluates radiation safety, indoor and building air quality, noise exposure, and ventilation requirements. Provides counsel on community health, industrial hygiene, medical surveillance programs, Occupational Hygiene (OH) risk assessments, and contractor OH programs.
Supports larger customers/clients and may lead functional projects under infrequent supervision. Developing a detailed knowledge of the work function.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
  • This position resides in the Chevron Oil, Products and Gas organization and may provide support for global upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
  • Identifies and manages the risks arising from chemical, biological, and physical agents, and other workplace hazards.
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative exposure risk assessments. Recommends engineering and administrative exposure controls, as well as, specialized personal protective equipment including chemical protective garments and respiratory protection.
  • Evaluates radiation safety, indoor and building air quality, noise exposure, and ventilation requirements.
  • Provides counsel on community health, industrial hygiene, medical surveillance programs, Occupational Hygiene (OH) risk assessments, and contractor OH programs.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master of Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), Master of Science (MS) with focus in Occupational Hygiene from an Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited institution.
  • 5-10 years related Occupational Hygiene work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or eligible to take the CIH examination.
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered.
International Considerations:
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $97,800 – $168,400.
