Form of workA well-established healthcare system in southern Louisiana is seeking a qualified OB/GYN physician for locum tenens coverage starting in mid-June.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Louisiana medical license
- DEA certification required
Cases & Procedures:
- Deliver comprehensive obstetrical care, including routine and a very limited number of high-risk pregnancies
- Perform labor & deliveries, C-sections, and a variety of in-office gynecological procedures
- Emergency privileges are available
Schedule:
- Sporadic coverage for vacation and other coverage needs
- Night in-house call (5 pm-6 am) or 24-hour in-house call (sleep time provided)
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient care
Practice Setting:
- Join a 54-bed women's facility within an elite group of health systems
- Collaborate with skilled professionals including neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants
- Paragon EMR system utilized
Location:
- Just a two-hour drive east, Houston, Texas, beckons with its booming economy, world-class museums, and exciting cultural scene
- Head two hours east to Lafayette, the heart of Cajun culture. Experience live music, delicious food, and unique festivals
