At Privia Gulf Coast Imaging experts subspecialized in women's Imaging provide personalized and interactive care in Breast, Obstetric and Gynecological Imaging. We are searching for an Ultrasound Technologist that specializes in OB/GYN and Breast Sonography – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting.
Summary:
In this position, you’ll perform routine and comprehensive ultrasound examinations for interpretation using specialized ultrasound equipment. In assisting the interpreting physician, the diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist is able to obtain, review, and integrate pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data to facilitate optimal diagnostic results; perform appropriate procedures and record anatomic, pathological, and/or physiologic data for interpretation by the physician; record and process sonographic images and other pertinent observations made during the exam for presentation to the interpreting physician; exercise discretion and judgment in the performance of the diagnostic exam; provide patient education related to the ultrasound exam; adhere to the standards of care and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews clinical information, including relevant personal and family history, exposures and other risk factors. This also includes review of pertinent prior imaging study reports or the images themselves as available
- Performs appropriate procedures and records anatomic, pathological and or physiologic data for interpretation by the Maternal Fetal Medicine and Radiology faculty
- Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
- Maintains knowledge of anatomy, pathology/anomalies, hemodynamics, and ultrasound physics to identify and characterize normal and aberrant anatomy, masses, fluid collections, stenosis and sonographic artifacts
- Verifies and confirms patient identification and patient information utilizing the patient identifiers required with each exam
- Maintains an open line of communication with physicians, management and co-workers consistently keeping them informed of patient conditions, work flow status, potential problems
- Responds in a timely and appropriate manner to all methods of communication while on the job (i.e. phones, voice mails, E-mails)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OB/GYN Ultrasound Technologist experience
- ARDMS OBGYN certification is a Plus!
- NT certification, NB certification is a Plus!
- Broad knowledge of sonographic procedures; operation of all required equipment, basic life support and medical terminology
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and positive guest relations; promote positive departmental communications and relationships; maintain confidentiality; demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills
- Follow imaging departments scanning protocols and able to adjust to new protocol implementation
Education Required:
- At least 2 years in an accredited Allied Health Educational Program
- One year on-the-job training in ultrasonography

Our main office if located in Houston, Texas. This position is primarily located at the main office, some coverage for satellite locations may be required.

Pay: $34.00 - $40.00 per hour
