A healthcare network in New Jersey is seeking a licensed OB/GYN Laborist to join one of their facilities in Bergen County. In this role, the OB/GYN Laborist will be responsible for managing the Labor & Delivery process.
About the Schedule:
- Schedule: 7-on, 7-off shifts
- Hours: 12-hour shifts
Responsibilities:
The OB/GYN Laborist will:
- Monitor the progress of labor, assess the well-being of both the mother and the baby, and make decisions regarding the need for interventions
- Assess pregnant women who arrive at the hospital with various concerns
- Provide emergency care to pregnant women who experience complications or unexpected events during labor and delivery
- Consult with and provide care to pregnant women who are being managed by the hospital's primary OBGYNs or midwives
- Assist with and perform cesarean sections (C-sections) when necessary
- Provide postpartum care, including assessing the mother's recovery and addressing any postpartum complications.
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey
- Board Eligible / Certified
