Ob Gyn Surgery Scheduler-Experience Required

Surgery Scheduler with Medical Experience:

• Must be reliable, organized, detailed oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Coordinate the time and date for Hospital and Surgery Center surgical procedures,pre-op and post-op appointments.
• Manage pre-op forms and paperwork required by physician, hospital and surgery center.
• Complete prior authorization with insurance company and pre-cert for any imaging that is required.
• Ensure that all pre-op testing is completed.
• Coordinate patient care from start to finish. Communicate with patients throughout the process of required testing, pre-op instructions and post-op expectations.
• Accurate documentation of information in patient’s chart.
• Coordinate with various medical staff, including physicians, anesthesiologists, and hospital staff, as well as insurance companies and sometimes, other co-surgeons. In addition, secure special equipment, and surgical supplies for in office procedures.
• Triage calls and questions from patients throughout the process.
