Job description

The OB Clinical Operations Manager leads, directs, and supports the Clinical Operations for family medicine with obstetrics and midwifery programs under the leadership of the Director of Clinical Operations. The OB Clinical Operations Manager is responsible for the OB clinical teams and services and works closely with the OB providers and other medical center leaders to assure implementation of clinical, ancillary, and business services at each clinical site in a way that meets or exceeds standards while providing an excellent patient experience across all services.

Primary Responsibility

· Manage the daily operations of OB clinical practice teams and services within Neighborcare Health to assure optimal delivery of safe, appropriate, accessible care and service.

· Support, facilitate, and coordinate workflow of OB team members across medical, nursing, technical, ancillary and office staff.

· Collaborate with the senior leadership and medical leads to ensure effective communication with OB teams to align operations and implement/monitor interdisciplinary change initiatives, workflow, quality, and process improvements.

· Assure adequate OB staffing levels are in place to meet patient needs.

· Ensure OB clinic teams are effectively assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care/service.

· Support the resolution of OB service/care issues, including patient complaints, as they occur within assigned area.

· Facilitate financial stewardship: manage within resources allocated. In collaboration with colleagues, make operational adjustments as needed to meet financial targets.

· Implement complex change and improvements associated with access management, clinical quality, safety standards and service excellence for OB services at  Neighborcare.

· Assure the delivery of OB patient care that meets or exceeds clinical quality and safety standards.

· Train and support staff in delivering a consistent customer experience.

· Collaborate with Clinic Administrators to support staff, scheduling, and payroll.

· Participate in OB staff selection, training, and development, when appropriate.

· Support OB team members, including medical staff, in achieving performance expectations and standards.

· Design and facilitate team meetings with a variety of OB team members as participants.

· Supports a culture of excellent service and communication that positively influences staff engagement.

· Assure a safe, productive, and supportive work environment for all staff in alignment with Neighborcare mission and core values

Required for this job:

· Ability to meet and comply with HIPAA/Confidentiality policies and procedures and to handle confidential and sensitive patient and staff information

· Proficient with computers. Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations and email

Preferred for this job:

· Familiarity with OB terminology

· Experience with Electronic Medical Records

· Experience with insurance providers and billing

Required:

· Bachelor’s Degree 

· Valid WA State

Registered Nurse license, Midwife license, or Certified Nurse Midwife license

· Current BLS/CPR

· Two (2) years experience as RN,

LM, or CNM in perinatal care, outpatient OB clinic or inpatient Labor & Delivery, Post- Partum

Preferred qualifications: · BSN, MSN, MHA, MBA, LM, CNM or other advanced degree in relevant area

· Five (5) years of  increasingly responsible experience in a primary care, hospital and/or home care setting · Three (3) years of management or supervisory experience in a clinical environment

Compensation 

  • The wage range for this position is minimum $85,633.60 to 119,995.20 maximum.  
  • Compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience.
