Position is a daytime Monday-Friday position.
10 daytime weekend calls per year
PA support from 7am to 7pm.
Salary range: 240-280k and incentive Bonus

Our 30-bed medically complex acute care Rehabilitation Unit offers a comprehensive range of inpatient programs to help people overcome or adapt to the effects of physical and neurological illness or injury. For more than a decade, Rusk Brooklyn has held the Joint Commission Stroke Rehabilitation Certification. Our mission is to provide innovative patient-centered care that incorporates evidence-based practice and cutting edge-technology to promote recovery and enable our patients achieve their goals. Physician led clinical care partnered with excellent support staff provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation care at our Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center with available expert multispecialty clinical services.
This new Rehabilitation Hospitalist position will enhance the medical management of our medically complex patients on the Rehabilitation unit.
Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine preferred; Board Eligible within 5 years post residency required.
This position is accountable for providing day-to-day medical care, rehabilitation team guidance, and medical leadership for inpatient rehabilitation care. This position is responsible for supporting the IRF Medical Director in all aspects of inpatient medical management. This position collaborates with hospital based clinical consults and medicine/surgery units. The position also includes participation on relevant departmental and hospital committees as assigned. Dedicated Internal Medicine Hospitalists cover medical needs of patients during evenings and overnight.
