Nutrition Services - Manager Trainee, 2023-2024 School Year
Schedule: School Days, 5 hrs/day
Manager Trainee will participate in the Manager Training Program at assigned schools for the purpose of training to become a Nutrition Services Manager.
Emphasis on food production, equipment, ordering, computer skills, cash handling and accountability, personnel, scheduling, management skills and customer relations. Requires attendance at department meetings and classes.
Perform the following for all programs including breakfast, lunch, snacks, Head Start, and summer feeding as assigned:
Prepare and serve food according to the menus, recipes, and procedures provided by the Nutrition Services Department. Train food service employees as directed by the Manager.
Practical working knowledge of food service and food safety practices and procedures preferred.
Candidate must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and frequently lift 25 pounds in a given day.
This position is eligible for benefits. Manager Trainees will start at $17.89/hr. Manager Trainee is a temporary position. When promoted to Kitchen Manager the wage increases to $21.24/hr.
