The Thrive Alliance Nutrition Program serves to provide a hot, nutritious meal to seniors as well as participation in other funded programs that supply seniors with food that can improve their health, such as Farmer's Market Vouchers and fresh fruit and vegatable supplies. The Nutrition Program Supervisor is responsible for leading the Nutrition Program for the Agency, supervising the Nutrition Site Leads, and evaluating client needs to support services or help identify gaps in services provided by the communities in which we serve. The number of meal sites depends on the need within the area and the availability of relavant locations in designated communities in which to serve the meals. Often this is a senior center, senior apartment complex, or similar site.
The Supervisor directs the activities of the Site Leads, ensuring the sites are meeting the needs of the individuals, that they are clean, well stocked, and a friendly and welcoming place for participants.
The Supervisor works with the Site Leads to present relavant programs and information for the participants; facilitates training for the Site Leads, and assists them with data collection and analysis.
Monthly reports and other data collection are done on a consistent basis, monitoring for trends and deviations in order to recommend adjustments to each individual meal site or the program as a whole.
