Responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of Nursing Professional Development programs including but not limited to nursing orientation, inservices and nursing continuing Professional Development. Functions as an educational resource and provides guidance for education as necessary, including interprofessional education (IPE). The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Specialist also assists in the planning, development, and provision of departmental educational activities relating to nursing and oncology, providing program support to all shifts. It is preferred that NPD Specialists have Specialty Nursing Certification in Nursing Professional Development; this will be required within 2 years from date of hire. This position must adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Nursing (Required)
Masters Degree : Nursing, other health related field or Adult Education (Required)
Experience
3 Years experience in a Clinical Setting (Required)
1 Year experience in adult education (Preferred)
License/Certifications
BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
BLS INST - BLS Instructor Status (Preferred)
