The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Generalist works to improve the professional practice and role competence of nurses and other healthcare personnel by facilitating ongoing learning, change, role competence and growth. The NPD Generalist is responsible for the ongoing delivery of education programs and activities. The NPD Generalist works collaboratively to assess, identify, plan, implement, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate educational activities. The NPD Generalist provides education to achieve the organization's mission of excellent patient care and nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice committed to patient advocacy and innovative patient care in a climate of trust and collaboration.

Responsibilities
This Nursing Professional Development practitioner will oversee staff education, support role transitions, and provide training and resources for staff at Dardanelle Regional Medical Center and Conway Regional Clinics. There will be some regular travel to these locations required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
- Current unencumbered nursing license required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical nursing practice
- Previous experience as unit educator, system educator, or other area of nursing education preferred
- ANCC NPD specialty certification preferred; if not in possession at time of hire, must acquire within 2 years of hire
