- Salary in the $100 - 110,000 range DOE

- Status: Full-Time Equivalent (FTE), 40 hours per week
- Shifts: 2 CNC on days, 2 CNC on nights, and a relief Charge per shift
- Patient Population: Daily census ranges from 90 to occasionally over 100 patients, covering all age groups
- Work Hours: Flexible schedule; 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
The Nursing/ED Unit Manager, in collaboration with the Director, is accountable for both clinical and financial outcomes within the unit. This role involves day-to-day operational management, ensuring positive patient, employee, and physician satisfaction. The manager will work alongside the unit director to meet or exceed monthly operating budgets. Collaboration with clinical educators/resources is essential for unit orientation and staff competency. Adherence to patient care standards and service excellence is crucial for maintaining high levels of patient satisfaction. The role involves a managerial and administrative focus, with clinical responsibilities adjusted based on unit needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the unit.
- Oversee personnel activities within the unit.
- Coordinate inter and intra-departmental activities.
- Foster a professional climate within the nursing unit.
- Maintain supplies, medications, PAR levels, and ordering.
- Ensure daily KRONOS upkeep.
- Manage position control reports and PLUS productivity.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of the daily Central/EMTALA log.
- Adhere to affirmative action and equal employment opportunity policies.
- Oversee Customer Service initiatives.
- Establish priorities and make independent decisions of a complex nature.
- Interface with administration, physicians, the public, staff, and the healthcare team.
- Represent the unit and administration.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
- Current Texas RN License or Compact RN license.
- Knowledge of Healthcare policy.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- 3+ years of experience as Charge RN, Coordinator, or Supervisor.
- New hires must obtain PALS and TNCC within 6 months of hire.
