ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
- Complete assigned nursing orders as directed by preceptor, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and taking vital signs.
- Observe patient status and responses.
- Document and report observations to preceptor or other appropriate staff.
- Assist preceptor with development of care plan by reporting test results and patient observations.
- Perform other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting patients for diagnostic services.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Enrolled in Nursing program.
- Nursing students in an accredited RN.BAN program in their last semester of the program preferred
