Summary of Need:
- Being ready to respond and equipped to deal with a medical emergency.
- Quickly assessing patient needs.
- Treating critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma.
- Performing minor medical operations.
- Cleaning wounds.
- Drawing blood.
- Maintaining emergency room care standards.
- Assisting with insurance paperwork.
- Ensuring the efficiency of the patient check-in process.
- Displaying strong decision-making skills in emergency scenarios.
- Shift: 7p-7a, 3x12's...
- Contract Length: 13 weeks...
- 2 years of current ED experience required...
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required - CEN preferred...
- Every other weekend (Sat/Sun) required...
- Will not consider blocked scheduling...
- Will float within ED only...
- No call required...
- Patient Mix/Skill Requirements: Community ED, Primary Stroke Center, Academic facility. 20 bed ED, Plus "surge space/hallway locations”. Able to work all areas (triage using Client triage), critical area, able to work with pediatric patients (there is no separate Peds ED)...
- Cerner charting experience preferred...
- Patient Ratio typically: 1:5-7 depending on staffing needs...
- Will not accept first time travelers...
- Scrubs color: Hunter green scrubs...
- Additional Requirements: Utilization of bar code medication administration, strong patient satisfaction focus...
- If traveler lives within 50 miles of the facility, there will be a *** reduction in the rate...
