Nursing Assistant

Job Description:

Job Title: CNA

Location: Selinsgrove, PA 17870

Facility: ODP Selinsgrove Centre

Shift Timings: 6:00am to 2:30pm & 2:00pm to 10:30pm; 5 days a week with alternate weekend.

Duties:
- Assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing direct patient care
- Perform basic nursing procedures under the supervision of a licensed nurse
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Help patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent experience
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
- Previous experience in a hospital or critical care setting is preferred
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy and physiology
- Familiarity with airway management techniques and ventilator care
- Ability to perform patient assessments and assist with medication administration
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
