We are currently searching for a dynamic individual to become the Dispensing Nurse (FT) at our methadone clinic.
All positions require pre-employment drug screening and background check.
This position is Tuesday to Saturday
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for measuring and dispensing methadone and other medications according to doctor's orders, FDA, DEA and ADAD regulations as well as providing nursing and medical record keeping services to the Methadone and other programs.
Responsible for ordering, receipt, dispensing and record keeping of medication according to applicable rules and regulations. Supports client treatment through coordination with program supervisors and counselors, ensuring that all medication is properly dispensed in accordance with physicians' orders.
Responsible for dosing and documenting all methadone doses within scheduled clinic hours.
Reports inconsistencies and/or problems regarding the handling of controlled substance to the program supervisor.
Maintains a clean and safe work area and immediately reports any potential hazards to supervisor.
Observes clients for urinalysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
LPN or RN license with some classes in a human service area such as psychology.
Experience:
Prefer prior experience in substance abuse field.
Other:
Knowledge of applicable laws regarding medication dispensing, storage and accountability. Basic computer skills required.
