Nursery Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Worker to join our team. As a Nursery Worker, you will be responsible for providing care and education to children in a nurturing and safe environment. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and contribute to their early childhood development while giving their caretakers an opportunity for spiritual rest.

Duties:

- Maintain cleanliness of nursery

- Prompt age-appropriate activities with provided resources

- Provide individualized attention and support to each child

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care

- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians

- Foster a positive and inclusive play environment

- Collaborate with other Nursery Workers to create a cohesive team

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or daycare setting

- Knowledge of early childhood care principles and practices

- Basic familiarity with childhood development milestones

- Strong verbal communication skills

- Excellent emotional intelligence

- Ability to multitask attention on multiple children in a single contained room

- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred but not required

Skills:

- Caregiving: Experience providing nurturing care to young children.

- First aid: Knowledge of basic first aid procedures to ensure the safety of children.

- Preschool: Familiarity with preschool behaviors and socialization.

- Experience working with students: Previous experience working with students in an educational setting.

- Toddler care: Ability to provide age-appropriate care for toddlers.

- Experience with children: Previous experience working with children in any capacity.

We offer competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience. This is a weekly Sunday morning obligation from 8:30am to 12:30pm. The number of children will fluctuate seasonally, but most Sundays we see 4-8 children total.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the self-directed Safe Church online training, which will take 4-5 (compensated) hours.

Position to start immediately.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week
