Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Nursery & Greenhouse Laborers. This position involves assisting in the day-to-day operations of our nursery and greenhouse facilities. As a laborer, you will play a crucial role in various tasks including planting, watering, pruning, potting, and harvesting plants. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a passion for working with plants.

Responsibilities:

1. Planting and transplanting seedlings and young plants.

2. Watering plants according to their specific needs.

3. Pruning and trimming plants to maintain healthy growth.

4. Potting plants and preparing them for sale or transplanting.

5. Assisting with the maintenance of greenhouse equipment and facilities.

6. Monitoring plants for signs of pests and diseases and taking appropriate action.

7. Harvesting fruits, vegetables, or flowers when ready.

8. Operating basic nursery equipment such as wheelbarrows, hand tools, and irrigation systems.

9. Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the nursery and greenhouse areas.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent (college students are welcome to apply).

2. Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or a related field preferred but not required.

3. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

4. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.

5. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.

6. Good communication and teamwork skills.

7. Willingness to learn and take direction from supervisors.

8. Passion for plants and horticulture.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
